In and around Long Eaton we have started to see a rise in incidents involving antisocial behaviour, mostly caused by groups of youths.
One of the ways in which ASB is caused is by rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour. This refers to general nuisance behaviour in a public place or a place to which the public have access.
The main areas of concern are the Long Eaton town centre and around Tesco and McDonalds. We receive numerous calls from shop staff and security guards that youths are riding their bikes inside the store, blocking doorways for other members of the public and climbing over tables and counters. These are just a small number of examples.
Long Eaton SNT take ASB seriously and this behaviour is not tolerated. Whilst we do not wish to criminalise youths for causing these issues, this could lead to harassment and they will be asked to attend the police station to be interviewed.
